Anti-Sweatshop Action Gets Results!    

The Anti-Sweatshop letter-writing action is now finished, and teams should be very proud of the results.  We have put this issue on the map.  The presidential candidates are starting to reference the bill, and two of them that currently hold office are cosponsors.  The work done on this bill to date is almost exclusively through Rapid Response, which shows the strength we have and the fact that we are making a difference.

New District Record on Action:

• District 9 has set a new standard for excellence in Rapid Response: 100% of locals across the Southeast participated in this action!  Congratulations!

Action Results:

• Over 130,000 letters sent to Congress
• Over 100 cosponsors (with more to come!)

Targeted Action Results to Date (Ongoing):

• Dozens of meetings with Members of Congress
• Demonstrations and rallies
• Participation in Town Hall Meetings with Members of Congress
